Gotye hat selber und höchstpersönlich einen Mashup (wie sich das modernerweise nennt) von all den verschiedenen Covers von seinem berühmtem Song Somebody That I Used To Know produziert. Ich finde das Werk toll und es zeigt, dass der Künstler einen grossen Respekt hat für all die mehr oder weniger gelungenen und phantasievollen Bemühungen, sich mit seiner Komposition auseinanderzusetzen. Die meisten Coverversionen habe ich selber ja auch schon gesehen und bewundert. Gerade die riesige Vielfalt und Kreativität ist es, die mich (und offenbar auch Gotye) so beeindruckt.

Most of the cover versions I have seen and admired before. It is especially the huge diversity and creativity that impresses me (and apparently Gotye, too) a lot.

Je trouve cela fonctionne très bien et ça montre que l’artiste a un grand respect pour tous les efforts d’imagination plus ou moins réussit pour faire face à sa composition. La plupart de ces versions j’ai déjà vu et admiré moi-même. C’est surtout la grande diversité et la créativité, qui m’impressionne beaucoup, et apparemment Gotye aussi.
